Summer Success Academy

The Summer Success Academy offers recent high school graduates an, exciting, and immersive introduction to life at Durham Tech. This dynamic program provides a valuable opportunity for students to connect with faculty, staff, and peers while laying the foundation for a successful academic journey.

As part of the Academy, students will be enrolled in ACA 122: College Transfer Success, a credited course designed to equip them with essential skills and knowledge for navigating college and preparing for future transfer opportunities.

Throughout the program, participants will take part in a community-focused service project, offering a meaningful way to give back while developing teamwork and leadership skills.

Students will also explore Durham Tech’s seven guided career pathways and engage with key campus resources, including Financial Aid, Academic Advising, Accessibility Services, Library Services, and the Success Coach team. This comprehensive experience is designed to provide students with the tools, support, and connections needed for a smooth and successful transition into college life.

The Summer Success Academy is completely free and is open exclusively to high school graduates planning to enroll at Durham Tech for the Fall 2025 semester.

To apply, students must:

• Submit a copy of their high school transcript verifying successful graduation and completion of all required coursework.
• Apply and be officially admitted to Durham Tech www.durhamtech.edu/apply for the Fall 2025 semester prior to the start of the Summer Success Academy.
