The Durham Early College of Health Sciences (DECHS) is a specialized Early College within the Durham Public Schools (DPS) system. It offers students a unique educational experience that blends high school and college-level coursework, preparing them for careers in health sciences to address our community's need for qualified healthcare professionals. Students can graduate with a high school diploma, a healthcare credential, and pathways to employment upon graduation.
DECHS is a collaborative initiative of Durham Public Schools, Duke Health, and Durham Technical Community College, and it is funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies.
